ii)  
In the Regional Stage,
up to the Area Final,
all rounds up to the Area Final
will be played
on the basis
of one match
in one club and the other match
in the other
club.


iii)  Foursomes Match Play. Each match shall be played
over 18 holes, the aggregate of
holes up to decide the winning team. The full
round must be played unless an overall result on holes up has already decided the event, when the
defeated team may concede the match
before completion of 18 holes. In the case of a tie, the second match as selected, shall immediately continue
one hole at a time until there is a winner. The pairs contesting tie holes
must maintain their respective orders
of play in which they played from
the start of the match.


iv)  See Regulation 18 for full details on the application of the rules in the event
of an aggregate tie, and with
regard to the
order of play.



e) Handicapping



i)    
To be eligible, players
must have a Handicap Index
at the time
of competing.


ii)   All matches are played off
scratch.

on 1st January, when added together, must not be higher than
42.0.


iii)  Players’ Handicap Indexes
on 1st January will be used
to


determine their Course
Handicap, from which
Playing Handicaps and strokes in matches will
be based.


IRISH MIXED FOURSOMES Competition Regulations 2021

18 and over as specified in Section A of the
General Regulations

10 players (5 x pairings, each of one male and one female
player)



d) Regulations



i)    
There will be Regional and National sections organised in accordance with Reg. 10 of the General Regulations.


ii)  
In the
Regional Stage, up to the Area Final, there will be three matches
at the club
drawn at home,
and two at the club
drawn away.


iii)  Foursomes Match Play. In Match Play, all matches
must be played to a finish
unless an overall
result is reached, in which case
unfinished matches will
be declared halved.


iv) 
The male
player must play first on first hole of the match and at every
second hole thereafter (see Reg.19
above).


v)   Teams may play in any combined handicap order.


vi)  A team/panel may change for each round/leg.


vii) All matches shall be played to a finish unless one team has already
won. A match
must not be called in unless there
is an overall result that
is confirmed beyond
doubt.



e) Handicapping



i)    
Eligibility: To be eligible, players must have
a Handicap Index
on 1st January 2021. This
Handicap Index applies throughout the competition.
For a pair to be eligible, their Handicap Indexes on the 1st of January , when added
together, must not be lower
than
19.0.


ii)  
Playing Handicap: Each player uses
their Handicap Index
on 1st January to calculate their Course
Handicaps. The pair then add their rounded
Course Handicaps together and the pair’s
Playing Handicap is 50% of
their combined Course Handicap. If a pair’s
Playing Handicap (when the two Course Handicaps are added
together and reduced to 50%) exceeds 15, they must play off 15. In Match Play, the difference between
the two pairs’ Playing Handicaps determines strokes given and received.


iii)  Stroke Indexes: strokes given or received are based on the stroke index of the tees used by the men.


FRED DALY TROPHY (BOYS) Comp Regulations 2021

i)    
A player must
compete for his Home Club (the club which controls
and administers his handicap) should that club require him to do so. If his Home
Club does not require him to compete, a player may only compete for another club under one of the following scenarios: a) His Home Club
has not entered the tournament; b)
The player receives written
permission bearing his Home Club’s
letterhead and signed by a Club Official confirming
that such written permission is authorised by the Club. If required, a copy of the written permission from his Home
Club must be forwarded to the opposing Team Captain and relevant Regional Office within four days of any request.


ii)   Singles Match Play


iii)  Team must play in order
of current Handicap Index. In matches
with three games at one club and two at the other, the lowest three
players from each team must
play in the
venue with three


matches.



e) Handicapping



i)    
To be eligible, players
must have a Handicap Index
at the time
of
competing.


ii)   All matches are
played off scratch.


BOYS INTER-CLUB Competition Regulations 2021

Under 18 as specified in Section A of the
General Regulations.

i)    
A player must
compete for his Home Club (the club which controls

at the time
of playing.


ii)  
Players will not be eligible to play in this competition if their Handicap Index was lower
than 5.0 on 1st January 2021.




 



However, if a player’s Handicap Index drops below
5.0 after 1st January, they will still
be eligible and in this
case, they must use their
current Handicap Index
on the day of competition.


iii)
If a player’s Playing Handicap on the day of competing, when calculated using current Handicap Index, is higher than 24, the
player must
play off 24.


BOYS JUNIOR FOURSOMES Competition Regulations 2021



a) Age Group


Under 18 as specified in Section A of the General Regulations.

i)    
A player must
compete for his Home Club (the club which controls

Strokes: Each player uses their current Handicap Index to calculate their Course Handicaps. (Any player with
an index higher
than 12.0 must
use 12.0 as per the above.) The pair then add their rounded Course Handicaps
together and the pair’s Playing
Handicap is 50% of their combined Course Handicap. In Match Play,
the difference between the two pairs’


Playing Handicaps determines strokes given or received.


BARTON CUP Competition Regulations 2021


a) Age Group

i)    
Foursomes Match
Play at home
and away as per the draw. All
matches must be played to a finish unless an overall result is reached, in which case unfinished
matches will be declared halved.


ii)  
In a situation
where there is a first and second round, in both rounds, the club on top of the draw has three matches at home and two matches away. For the third and
subsequent rounds including the
semi-final, the club whose number or letter
appears first shall have three matches
at home and two
matches away. For the final the
club that letter appears first shall play at
home in the first leg. The dates for the final are arranged by the Leinster Regional Executive in advance.


iii)  In the event of a tie after the second leg of the
final, both Team Captains will have
15 minutes after the completion of the match
to declare their pairings who shall play Match Play over three holes in sequence prescribed by the
Regional before the final. If still
tied, the same pairings shall extend the round over the
same prescribed holes
in accordance with
Section E of the General


Regulations.



e) Handicapping



i)    
To be eligible, players must have a Handicap Index
on 1 January 2021. This
Handicap Index applies
throughout the competition.


ii)   Lowest combined Handicap Index of a pair 14.0.


iii)  All matches played
off scratch


LEINSTER BOYS’ UNDER-15 INTER-CLUB



a) Age Group


Under-15 in accordance with
Section A of the General
Regulations

Five players



d) Regulations



i)    
The form of play is singles match play.


ii)  
Teams shall
be placed in order of current Handicap Index from highest to lowest – highest playing
first; lowest playing last.


iii)  For the first-round matches, the club on top of the
draw has home advantage
five matches
played at home and five matches
away. The result of the matches shall be determined by the aggregate of matches won and each
match shall be played to a
finish in each leg, until an overall result has been determined in the second leg. In the event of a tie
in the first or second round, the
final pairing shall, as soon as practicable extend the round in accordance with Section E of the General Regulations.


iv) 
In the second
and subsequent rounds (except the final), the competing teams shall on the same day play three matches at home
and two matches away.


v)  
Note 1 The three highest
handicap players from
each team will
compete at the club that has home advantage. All matches must be played to a finish unless an overall
result is reached, in which case unfinished matches will be declared halved.


vi) 
Note 2 Where a team
is under strength (i.e. only able to field
three or four players), the highest-handicapped matches
will be forfeited (if a team can only field
four players, then match 1 will be
forfeit; if they can only field three players, matches 1 & 2 will be forfeited).


vii) In the Final
(two legs) five
matches shall be played at home and
five matches away.


viii)      In the event of a tie after the second leg of the final, the final pairing that
has played in the second leg shall as soon as practicable, and on the same day, engage in Match Play over three
holes in accordance with Section E of the
General


Regulations.



e) Handicapping



i)    
Players must
have a Handicap Index on the day of the competition.


ii)  
For Boys aged under
14: If a player’s Playing
Handicap on the day
of competing, when calculated using the player’s current Handicap Index, is higher
than 18, the
player must play
off 18.


iii)  For all other competitors: If a player’s Playing
Handicap on the day of competing, when
calculated using the player’s current


Handicap Index,
is higher than
14, the player
must play off 14.


METROPOLITAN Competition Regulations 2021

The
Metropolitan Trophy is open to all clubs affiliated to Golf Ireland in the Leinster Region inside
the Metropolitan area viz: a radius of 18 miles
from the G.P.O.
in Dublin.


ii)   Clubs compete by Singles Match Play at Home and Away as per


the draw. All matches
must be played
to a finish unless an



 



overall result is reached, in which case unfinished
matches will be declared halved.


iii)  For the first round matches, the club on top of the
draw has four matches at home and
three matches away. For the second and subsequent
rounds including the semi final, the club whose number or letter appears first shall have four matches at home and three matches
away. For the final the club that letter appears first shall play at home in the
first leg. The dates for the final are arranged by the Leinster Regional Executive in advance.


iv)  
In the event
